For immediate release
With a lack of exercise and the rise in computer use leading
to an increase in childhood obesity, back aches, strains
and pains the United Chiropractic Association has introduced
a timely solution.
As part of the LiveWell national campaign, school children
are now receiving a set of easy to follow posture exercises.
The exercises follow similar successful initiatives in the
USA and Australia where results were very encouraging for
children and their parents.
Chiropractors will be visiting schools throughout the
UK to provide simple advice and exercises to help local
children keep healthy and pain free. A large percentage
of the adult patients our members see first develop spinal
weaknesses in their childhood and with more time spent sitting
and less time spent moving this could get a lot worse for
the future generation. The LiveWell Kids exercise and advice
programme is great because kids can have an easy and fun
3 minutes to counter the side effects of computer use, gaming
machines and watching TV.
Parents can receive a free posture exercise programme
for their children. Simply contact the LiveWell Kids campaign
team on 0845 257 0787. Information can also be obtained
from the campaign website at www.uca-livewell.org
