Choosing your favourite foods from each group means you can enjoy tasty food while keeping it healthy.
To eat well is to control your portion size. The aim is to make sure your meal isn't too large or too small.Eating well can help you manage your weight, improve your wellbeing, increase your energy levels and reduce your risk of developing diseases such as diabetes, coronary heart disease and some cancers.
Eating well is also associated with mental wellbeing and can improve your mood, raise your self esteem by helping you manage your weight, and can also improve your complexion, hair and nails.

Why not start keeping a food diary? If you are concerned about how many sugary cakes/sweets/drinks you consume in a week, you can use the food diary to see at what times and days you consume these the most. What other foods are available that can be used to replace these unhealthy snacks?
